developer & designer. I’m passionate about creating innovative experiences with emerging technology.
I go after projects and roles that genuinely excite me — especially the ones that give me room to experiment, think differently, and create something meaningful.
places that let me turn new technology into better ways to learn, practise, and solve real problems.
I’m Samia, a third year Computer Science, student at the University of British Columbia.
I’ve always been drawn to the newest thing in technology, mostly because I want to understand what it can do for people.
These days that means moving between GenAI, VR, design, and full-stack development — usually in spaces connected to education and healthcare. I’ve built clinical simulations medical students train in, explored AI tools that support how people learn, and spent more than a few weekends turning strange ideas into hackathon projects.
I like being somewhere between developer and designer — technical enough to build the system and curious enough to question how it should look, feel, and work.
Outside of work I’m usually painting, chasing a good sunset, finding the best view in the city, or explaining to my people that yes, you really can enjoy your job.
